PPS 2015 - A Review

The Polymer Processing Society Conference 2015 in Graz which was held from September 21-25, 2015, was a meeting place for more than 400 international experts and top researchers from 32 nations. We hope all PPS participants enjoyed the PPS conference and the beautiful scenery and historical sites of Graz as well. We also would like to thank all authors for their contributions and our PPS sponsors for their support!

GSI Fellowship for PCCL PhD student

Márton Bredács, PhD student at PCCL, has been awarded a US$ 5.000 Fellowship by the Geosynthetic Institue in Folsom/USA for the academic year 2015/2016 for his research in the field of "Aging Mechanisms and Lifetime Assessment of Polyethylene for tunnel liners".

eRamp Annual Meeting in Unterpremstätten

The annual meeting of the eRamp project from April 16th to April 17th 2015 took place in Unterpremstätten. The eRamp Project is coordinated by Infineon AG and bundles the competences of 26 partners in the field of microelectronics.
SKF visits the PCCL
The standing partner SKF visited the PCCL in February 2015. In addition to scientific presentations on current successful project collaboration with SKF the top-ranking delegation around Bernd Stephan (Senior Vice President Group Technology Development), Thomas Fröst (Director Business Segment and Strategic Accounts), Dan Reed (SKF President Regional Sales & Services North America) and Thomas Schwarz (Managing Director SKF Sealing Solutions Austria GmbH) got a comprehensive insight into the bundled plastics expertise in Leoben.

The EMN Meetings (Energy – Materials – Nanotechnology) developed from a series of small workshops. By now, the EMN Meetings include five annual conferences: EMN Fall (Orlando FL), EMN Spring (Las Vegas NV), EMN Summer (Cancun MX), EMN East (Beijing CN), and EMN Open (Chengdu CN).
